Big thank you to Hanses and Ridge Rock Quarry for donating 20 tons of road base, to Cheri with Earthworks for delivering the gravel (two loads!), and to Tahoe slab co for donating their time and skid steer to help form up the pad. We are on our way to being back on with water! Also, thank you Daniel Nicholson for fixing the busted water line under the main building.

We still need to secure a water tender delivery as they are completely booked up (let me know if you can help get us on the list ASAP) and we could use monetary donations to help pay for permitting, the holding tanks, and water deliveries.

Thank you for helping get us back on line!

we need volunteer support: We are in a very unfortunate situation of having a well that is no longer producing. With no water we cannot be of service to the community. That includes opening doors during extended power outages to cool off, charge phones, get important information updates, etc. Or be available as a Red Cross Evacuation center, etc. We want to also be open and available as a cooling center during these heat waves...

πŸ‘‰ We are installing 2 2500gal water tanks and need someone with a tractor to make an 8x16 ft flat pad and to bucket gravel onto the pad for the tanks.

πŸ‘‰ We also need someone with a dump truck or trailer to deliver about 6 tons of road base gravel to the site.

πŸ‘‰ Also, a sizable leak has been detected under the building (reasonably easy access) from our main water line that needs to be repaired

Thank you for helping us problems solve this situation

Sending all the brave fire fighters strength and endurance as they work to keep our us all safe. Praying that the line holds at the 49... πŸ™

Also happening now, at the most inopportune time, is that our well is dry. We are working with the county with a few grant options, one of them is an emergency funding through the water board to get a new well drilled and additional above ground storage tanks installed for water deliveries. We are a designated Community Resource Center for PGandE PSPS events and evacuation site for the American Red Cross, so we are working all options to get water back to our site so we can be up and running again for our community. Fingers crossed we can get support from these grant options.

Tomorrow we are getting a full estimate on drilling a new well and adding additional water storage tanks. πŸ˜…
